HRH Group of Hotels is India's largest and only chain of heritage palace-hotels
and resorts under private ownership. Headquartered in Udaipur, a city founded in
1559 at the banks of Lake Pichola, HRH Group of Hotels is preserving Grand Heritage
Palaces and sanctuary-resorts across Rajasthan. The Group offers regal experiences
in island-palaces, museums, galleries, car collections, desert safaris and wildlife
sanctuaries.
Shiv Niwas Palace and Fateh Prakash Palace in Udaipur, and Gajner Palace, Gajner
(near Bikaner) are classified Grand Heritage Palaces. The National Tourism Award
for best heritage hotel in 'Heritage Grand' category was awarded to Fateh Prakash
Palace in 2001 - 02, 2002 - 03, 2005 - 06, 2006 - 07, and 2008 - 09. Shiv Niwas
Palace received this award for three consecutive years from 1997. Shikarbadi Hotel
and Garden Hotel in Udaipur; The Aodhi at Kumbhalgarh; Fateh Bagh in Ranakpur; Gorbandh
Palace in Jaisalmer and Karni Bhawan Palace in Bikaner are 'royal retreats' of the
group. The Chairman and Managing Director of the Historic Resort Hotels Pvt. Ltd.
is Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur whose illustrious family ruled the former
State of Mewar for 1500 years. Ms. Padmaja Kumari Mewar of Udaipur, the second daughter
of Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur, is the Joint Managing Director of the Historic
Resort Hotels Pvt. Ltd.
HRH Group of Hotels is perceived as a leader and a role model, by the hospitality
industry in India. It is a pioneer in setting standards for heritage hospitality.

HRH Group of Hotels receives the BEST HERITAGE HOTEL AWARD by International Tourism Conclave and Travel Awards (ITCTA)
The Tourism department of Himachal Pradesh in association with International Tourism Conclave and Travel Awards had organized a three day international tourism conclave and travel awards starting from 6th April, 2012 till 8th April 2012, where HRH Group of Hotels, Udaipur has been awarded the Best Heritage Hotel award recognizing the contributions made by HRH Group of Hotels to the industry. This glorious award has been bestowed by The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal to the Executive Director of HRH Group of Hotels, Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar.

Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar, Chairman-and-Managing Director of the HRH Group of Hotels, Udaipur was bestowed the HIFI Hall of Fame Award at a glittering function organized by Hotel Investment Forum India (HIFI) at the Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hall on January 12th, 2012. "The HIFI Hall of Fame Award is presented to an individual in the hospitality industry who exemplifies outstanding business practices, leadership and achievements, both professionally and personally," said Mr James E Burba, President, BHN.

Prestigious Heritage Grand Award once again to Shiv Niwas Palace!
Shiv Niwas Palace has been the recipient of the prestigious Heritage Grand Award for seven times. During three consecutive years from 1997 to 2000; and then for 2004-05, 2007-08 and now in 2010-11, Shiv Niwas Palace was bestowed this National Tourism Award instituted by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
