HRH Group of Hotels have pioneered the trend for ‘regal weddings’
at historic venues in the grand heritage palaces
and royal resorts in Rajasthan.
It’s the wedding season again. The HRH Group of Hotels plan wedding programmes that last well over four days in Udaipur, Jaipur, Gajner, Bikaner and Jaisalmer.
The guests are given a traditional welcome on their arrival. The groom can choose to arrive to the venue either on a boat, elephant or a horse buggy, further, for each of the pre-wedding events, namely the mehndi function, sangeet etc the venue is decorated aptly. And chefs will churn out royal recipes.
In Udaipur, you could opt for the Jagmandir. Jagmandir is an island palace on Lake Pichola built by Maharana Karan Singh in the early 1800s. The Durbar Hall at the Fateh Prakash Palace, is also another suitable venue having hosted state banquets and royal weddings ever since it was built in the 1910s.
The Manek Chowk in front of the City Palace, Udaipur is another option. If you wish to give a candlelight banquet, then go in for the Zenana Mahal. On the other hand, if you want an earthly and rustic appearance to your wedding, then go to Risala, a venue at Shikarbadi Hotel, that is complete with craftsmen and potters, puppeteers and painters to give that ethnic look.
