This year, the International Award-Colonel James Tod Award was presented to a leading businessman in the Middle-East region, former member of The Shura Council, member of The Arab Business Council, member of the Cricket Club of India, a Bahraini national Mr. Mohammed Dadabhai, for his involvement with the promotion and development of various Educational, Social, Philanthropic and Sport activities. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dadabhai said, "Such honours keep the Indians living abroad, attached to their motherland and develop inspiration to contribute to their motherland.” Mr. Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief, CNN-IBN and Channel 7 TV was honoured with the Haldi Ghati Award (National Award) for his contribution in awakening society through the medium of journalism. conferred upon Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, a great humanist, social reformer, social scientist, an engineer and an institution-builder for his work of immense value in social activism and protecting the environment; while the Panna Dhai Award was given to Ms. Pratibha Naithani from Mumbai.

The Maharana Mewar State Award has been instituted to honour work of lasting value to those who consider it their duty to serve society through services of philanthropy and character building activities and this year, the award was presented to three distinguished personalities Mr. Anand Bordia (Noida), Mr. Sampat Lal Surana (Udaipur) and Dr. Parmanand Sharma (New Delhi).
