Recreation of a dream:
Fateh Bagh

History and location
Fateh Bagh is a majestic 25,000 sq ft
construction located on the banks of the river
Magai, Ranakpur, Rajasthan.

Located 95 kilometres from Udaipur, Fateh Bagh is a 200-year-old palace rebuilt stone by stone at its new location near Ranakpur many miles away from its original site in Koshilav village. Its history is as rich as the state it is now nestling in. For 200 years, it stood as “Rawla Koshilav” 50 kilometres from its present site. Kunwar Sahib Jitendra Singhji Rathore of Kelwa who is President Commercial of the HRH Group travelling in the area in 2002 discovered it was due for demolition and resolved to restore it to its original glory in Ranakpur.

Today, it is almost impossible to imagine that there was barren land where this magnificent structure now stands. The hotel’s architecture is arresting with an imposing square shaped, light biscuit-coloured facade, majestic arches, intricately carved pillars and pavilions, beautiful domes and an exquisite fountain in the foreground.
