It was attended by
hundreds of distinguished guests, HRH The Prince of Wales and
the Duchess of Cornwall and Her Highness The Rajmata Sahiba
Gayatri Devi of Jaipur. The number of wild Asian elephants in
the wild is plummeting dramatically. 66% of the losses have
occurred in the last 25 years as elephants and people are facing
off in a terrifying battle for living space. The Elephant Family
is a group of people who have each invested in, or personally
look after an Asian elephant and are drawn together by the
common belief that societies should treat elephants with the
respect; care and admiration that we would wish to extend to a
family member.
The Elephant Family is the only charitable organization
dedicated to the conservation of Asian elephants. |
