| A Press Conference India Tourism held a Press Conference at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, New York, on July 12th to meet Maharana Arvind Singh Mewar and his daughter Princess Padmaja Kumari and to introduce to the travel and consumer media the HRH Group of Hotels. The event was initiated by International Ventures & Travel. At the press conference, Shriji spoke about renovating the City Palace Complex in Udaipur and the brick-by-brick relocation of Fateh Bagh in Ranakpur. Padmaja spoke about the HRH Group of Hotels, and their emphasis on regal hospitality. The travel and consumer media attended the luncheon, including the Deputy Consul General, Ms.Brook Wilkinson, Executive Assistant Editor of Conde Nast Traveler and its Executive Director Mr. John Hillock, Chairman of Weber Shandwick Ms. Micho Spring, Associate Publisher of Culture & Travel Mr.Timothy Johnson, Ms.Katie Abney of Brides Magazine, Ms.Karen Smith of World & I, Mr. Darrell Hartman, Assistant Editor of Travel & Leisure, Mr. Philip Lovejoy from Harvard University Alumni and several other distinguished guests. In addition to the Press lunch a special Cocktail Party was hosted in honour of Shriji and Princess Padmaja Kumari by Mrs. Edith Starkey McBean at her home. She is a member of The Presidents Council of The Asia Society, New York. Another cocktail party was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Sloan McPherson at their residence in honour of Shriji and Princess Padmaja Kumari. |
