Inauguration of a new Hospital in Udaipur
In Udaipur, on August 14th, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Mrs. Vasundhara Raje inaugurated the G.B.H. American International Hospital. Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar was extended a special invitation and was present at the unveiling ceremony. Other guests included Mr. Gulab Chand Kataria Home Minister and Mrs Kiran Maheswari MP. All the distinguished guests undertook a thorough tour of the hospital and its facilities. The hospital is intended to cater to the needs of the public regardless of economic or social status.

Around The World in 80 Plates, a celebration of
vegetarian food
In late August, Shriji attended a social gathering organized by Ms. Rashmi Uday Singh at the ITC Maurya Sheraton, New Delhi. The evening was in celebration of an award won by Ms. Singh, the World Gourmand Award - for her new book, 'Around the World in 80 Plates'. At this event, social Delhi was treated to a rare feast - two versatile chefs Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar and Chef Manjit Gill on the stage displaying their prowess; a skill that won them a place among 80 of the world's superstar chefs in the much acclaimed 'Around The World in 80 Plates'.

The evening gave a flavour to the festivities, both appetizing and visual, as the book carried beautiful pictures of the dishes prepared exclusively, and the changing backdrop as well as a live demonstration heightened other sensory appeals. One of the premises of the book was to break the myth that vegetarians are somehow compromised in their culinary experiments. Rashmi Uday Singh set out to prove them wrong and, she did great justice!
