Mr. Jasbinder Singh I.P.S. Post Master General was an honoured guest at Shambhu Niwas Palace, during a brief visit to Udaipur on December 25, 2006. Mr. Singh's visit was to discuss the improved facilities that are being provided to the city by the General Post Office. Whilst there, he too came under the spell of Udaipur, its picturesque setting of limpid blue lakes and the historic Aravali Mountains, splendid forts and significant palaces.

Tag Heuer Taj Precision Polo Match
On December 3, 2006 The Tag Heuer Taj Precision polo game was held at the Jaipur Polo Grounds, New Delhi. Delhi's polo ground was packed and overflowing in the crisp Delhi winter sunlight and the announcement of an elephant polo match changed the pace of the game. Animated Chunky Pandey led his team against the charismatic Arjun Rampal's team. The main attraction of the event was the arrival of Shahrukh Khan in the Royal Baggi. Princess Bhargavi Kumari Mewar of Udaipur and Princess Padmaja Kumari Mewar of Udaipur attended the event. Saif Ali Khan, Kapil Dev, Ritu Beri were also present amongst the distinguished guests.

Amity Polo Cup
HRH Group of hotels were the hospitality sponsors of a polo match organized by Amity Humanity Foundation. The event took place at the Jaipur Polo ground, New Delhi between the 4th to the 10th of December 2006. The House of Mewar's association with polo goes back many decades and HRH Group of hotels shares a similar philanthropic outlook
On the 10th December HRH Group of hotels hosted an exhilarating exhibition match with The HRH team winning the match and receiving the trophy. The event was attended by princess Bhargavi Kumari Mewar of Udaipur, Thakur Sahib Lokendra Singh Rathore of Kotri and Princess Padmaja Kumari Mewar of Udaipur.
