The wedding ceremony took place on the 6th February on the Palace island of Jagmandir. In the evening the Baraat congregated at Seetla Mata Gate. The wedding procession followed the groom mounted on an elephant to The Promenade where the renowned Parizad Kolha hosted a show. After the Ceremony a lavish banquet was laid out for the guests.
A reception was organised at The Cricket Ground, Shikarbadi Hotel on the 7th February. An elaborate backdrop was constructed for the newly married couple and another for the musical performance given by Himesh Reshmiya. The celebrations included an Award function to recognise the achievement of GT & T Group where a lifetime achievement award was given to Mr. J. M. Joshi. Popular Bollywood stars including Karina Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora, Samira Reddy, Yana Gupta, Shefali Zariwala and Javed Jafari were invited to entertain the guests.

The World Monument Fund's Rajasthan trip
Delegates of The World Monument Fund (WMF) visited India in February 2007 from the U.S.A. The trip was organized by Mr. Victor Biswas of IVAT. The group spent the 7th February in Udaipur where they were given a guided tour of the City Palace complex. Dr. Shikha Jain with Dr. Mayank Gupta and Ms. Shweta Vardia explained specific historical and cultural practices and talked about the current restoration work that is taking place.
The delegates expressed admiration for all that is being done to preserve Udaipur's living cultural heritage. During their visit they had breakfast at the new Palki Khanna restaurant and lunch at the Durbar Hall.
Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur hosted cocktails for the delegates on the evening of the 7th February, which was followed by a formal dinner at Jagmandir.
