Recreating a dream, Fateh Bagh, Ranakpur
Fateh Bagh is located 90 kilometres from Udaipur. For 200 years it stood as 'Rawla Koshilav' at Koshilav village, 50 kilometres from its present site. In 2002 Kunwar Sahib Jitendra Singhji Rathore of Kelwa, President Commercial of the HRH Group was travelling in the area and heard of a major development that was about to take place that would include the demolition of the Haveli. He resolved to save it by transporting the 65,000 pieces of stone and rebuild it to its original glory on the banks of the river Magai, Ranakpur
Today, it is almost impossible to imagine that there was barren land where the magnificent structure of Fateh Bagh now stands. The hotel's architecture is arresting. The imposing square shaped, light biscuit-coloured palace with its majestic arches, intricately carved pillars and pavilions, beautiful domes and an exquisite fountain in the foreground seems right at home in this picturesque City of Temples. The hotel itself offers every facility and experience that Rajasthan's hotels are famous for. This is a palace that has recreated history.
