Maharaj Kumar Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur attends a consecration ceremony at Idana Mata Temple, Salumber.
On the 24th June Maharaj Kumar Lakshayaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur attended a religious ceremony at the Idana Mata Temple at Salumber. He was invited as the Temple's Chief Guest to partake in a rite of consecration to commemorate the building of a pinnacle when the temple flag was hoisted to the accompaniment of spiritual chanting.
At dawn a procession headed by village women carrying pitchers entered the cowshed compound where Maharaj Kumar Lakshayaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur joined the procession and made offerings to the holy flame.
To an audience of some thousand devotees and eminent dignitaries, The Maharaj Kumar unveiled an epigraph after which he applauded the Trust for their work on the temple expansion scheme. In his speech he included a few words about the need to preserve the wealth of India's culture intact for future generations and referred to 'Dharm and Karma'. Mahant Mahamandleshwar Murli Manohar Sharan Shastri also graced the occasion with his presence.
The Idana Mata Temple Trust presented a silver studded portrait of Mata Idana to the Maharaj Kumar and Mahant Mahamandleshwar Murli Manohar Sharan Shastri. The event was organised by Bawji Lavdev Singhji Khurabar, the patron of Idana Mata Temple Trust.
