The Baithak Restaurant
The Mewar Stables are famous world wide for their celebrated indigenous breed of Marwari horses.
Originally bred as battle horses for erstwhile Rajput nobles, the Marwari horse is fiery, proud and intelligent. Today, the Mewar Stables carry offspring from the distinguished breeding stallion "Sultan". There are currently 35 horses stabled at Shikarbardi with 4 Stallions and 11 mares.

Risala, Jhula Lawn and The Fountain Lawn are popular venues at Shikarbardi used frequently for entertaining. A sales conference was held by Videocon Industries in February 2007 for 200 participants at the Risala . The chief guest was the Bollywood actress and model Neha Dhupia
Shopping, Sightseeing and Excursions
As Shikarbadi Hotel is located close to the centre of Udaipur, there is plenty to see in the city itself within easy reach of the Hotel including heritage museums, Lake Palaces, and religious destinations that are only a few hours drive away.
Day tours and trips can also be organized to Kumbhalgarh, Chittor Fort and Mount Abu. The historic battle site of Haldighati is an easy drive outside Udaipur city. Udaipur also has a proud heritage as a centre for crafts and performing arts and artefacts particular to the region can be found in the quaint, almost medieval in its architectural style, bazaars within the city.

General weather conditions
Rajasthan is known for its hot summers and cool winter climate. The best season to visit is between October and February when the average day time temperature ranges from18-25 C.

A Deluxe Room
During the daytime, lightweight clothing is recommended and a thick woollen shawl in the evenings during the winter months. In the winter months heaters are provided in the rooms at night and in the evenings, a log fire blazes at the Risala and on special occasions a bonfire is lit on the Jhula and main lawn
General Manager
Mr. Rajib Sarkar has been the General Manager at Shikarbardi since June 2005. The hotel currently employs around 80 staff dedicated to caring for guests and upholding the standards of the HRH Group.
