Ladies Study Group Forum
Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur was invited to address the Ladies Study Group (LSG) at the ITC Hotel, Kolkata on August 07, 2007. The Indian Chamber of Commerce established the LSG in 1966 to create a platform that would encourage women to participate in current and relevant national issues. The LSG hopes to increase and diversify its activities ranging from developing entrepreneurial awareness and social consciousness, to making a positive difference to society at large.

In his address, Shriji talked about 'Eternal Mewar' as a concept that represents the custodianship of four perennial values: Self-respect; self-reliance; respect for mankind and service to the community. He also spoke about the philanthropic and development activities taking place in the City Palace Complex, Udaipur.
Ms. Malika Varma, Vice President of the Ladies Study Group thanked Shriji saying that a man of his lineage, social stature and power was a great source of inspiration to all members of the group. Later in the evening Shriji attended a dinner hosted by Ms. Malika Varma and Mr. Sharad Varma at the Hyatt, Kolkata.

Lunch for members of The Rajasthan Foundation

Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur attended a lunch organized by executive members of The Rajasthan Foundation at the ITC Hotel, Kolkata on August 08, 2007. Guests included prominent industrialists and Rajasthani living in Kolkata.

A Visit to the National Research Center on Equines, Bikaner
Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur visited the National Research Center on Equines, Bikaner on August 18, 2007. He was accompanied by Thakur Sahib Lokendra Singh Rathore of Kotri. Shriji was amongst the first to introduce the Frozen Semen Technique that has enabled the Centre to participate in pioneering work and has prolonged the genetic line of his renowned Stallion Raj Ratan. Shriji is a keen breeder of the hardy indigenous Marwari horse and his support for the Institute's work is intended to result in this desert breed being exported overseas. The director and main scientist at the center, Dr. Chaturvedi received Shriji and lauded his contribution to the center and towards the preservation of Marwari Horses. During his visit to Bikaner Shriji took the opportunity to see some of Raj Ratan's progeny.
