Filming at the City Palace Complex
The City Palace Complex was recently selected as one of the locations for the film 'Khushboo' produced by Mr. Prahlash Nihlashi and directed by Mr. Rajesh Singh. Filming took place at a number of locations including Mumbai, Chandigarh and Rajasthan. A performance of the final song was filmed at The City Palace Complex, Udaipur on the 1st September 2007.

Conference on 'public and private partnership' at The Durbar Hall, Fateh Prakash Palace
A conference was organized at The Durbar Hall, Fateh Prakash Palace on September 14th to discuss the model of 'Public Private Partnership' in Udaipur. Several Hotel groups and prominent organizations located in the city gathered together to discuss the development of Udaipur for the conservation of the lakes and the growing impact of traffic on roads in the city.
The conference was presided over by the Home Minister; Mr. Gulabchand Kataria who considers Udaipur to be of the prime tourist destinations inIndia. Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur, Chairman and Managing Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation attended the meeting. He extended his full support for the project and proposed there should be a master plan setting out detailed development plans. He also suggested a technical committee be set up to administer the project.
Several organizations have already agreed to undertake work to protect this unique City of Lakes. Eminent personalities attended the conference included Mr Shikhar Agarwal, Collector and District Magistrate, Mr. Govind Gupta, District Police Superintendent; Mr. Aarushi A Malik, Municipal Commissioner; and other government officials, industrialists and tourism industry stakeholders.

ANMPI 2007 conference at Fateh Prakash Palace
The Association of Nuclear Medicine Physicians of India organised its fifth annual conference in Udaipur on the 28th and 29th September 2007. Their meeting was held at the Durbar Hall, Fateh Prakash. Delegates stayed at the Shikarbardi Hotel, a Royal Retreat of the HRH Group of Hotels.
The main objective of the conference was to provide a common platform for Clinicians, Radiologists, Nuclear Physicians and students from diverging fields to share their knowledge. The conference included several presentations after which the delegates enjoyed a visit to the City Palace Museum. Dr. Manas Mayank, Consultant, Department of Nuclear Medicine, GIC Samved Hospital, Ahmedabad was Organising Secretary of the conference.

ILFS conference at Fateh Prakash Palace
Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services Ltd selected Udaipur for its annual conference which was held on the 29th and 30th September 2007. Employees of the company were invited to attend the event with their families to enjoy the beauty and serenity of The City of Lakes. Meetings were held at the Durbar Hall, Fateh Prakash Palace on the 30th September when senior management delegates gave a formal presentation on the company's performance followed by an open discussion session. Dinner was held for participants and their families at Jagmandir.
