The marriage took place between Polina daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sheykina and Jonathan son of Mr. and Mrs. Wills on 30th Dec 2007 at Kunwarpada Chowk, Jagmandir. Bejewelled elephants with Hoda and Lancemen carrying Mashaals led the guests from Arjun Khura Pol to Rameshwer Ghat before they embarked on boats garlanded with flowers.
Guests were welcomed with Gajras and rose buds at the entrance of Kunwarpada. A sumptuous dinner held in the Courtyard was followed by Rajasthani folk dances and a firework display. Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur attended the wedding celebrations.

Film Shoot takes place at Manek Chowk
The City Palace Complex was selected as the preferred location for the filming of a national song 'Jai Hind' for a production by Art and Artists Pvt Ltd. Mumbai. The Manek Chowk formed the backdrop for the filming that took place both in the day and at night. Mr. Priyaranjandas Munsi, Hon'ble Minister of Information & Broadcasting sent his support for the production aimed at celebrating 60 years of India's independence and fostering a spirit of national integration.

Jagmandir set-up for New Year’s Eve

HRH Group of Hotels organised a colourful programme to welcome in the New Year. The Jagmandir, Shikarbadi Hotel, Gorbandh Palace, The Aodhi and Gajner Palace once again hosted events to celebrate a new year
Members of the Mewar family including Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur, Maharani Sahiba, Princess Bhargavi Kumari Mewar, Thakur Sahib Lokendra Singhji, Princess Padmaja Kumari Mewar and Maharaj KumarLakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur also took part in the celebrations at the Palace Island of Jagmandir.
The evening at Jagmandir included a cornucopia of events with a DJ console and dancing, well into the night. The cultural performances include Ghoomer, Tera Taali etc. Ritika Sahni a popular singer spellbound the audience with her numbers. At midnight, 2008 was welcomed with fireworks and music with a lavish dinner complimenting the celebrations. Similar events were held at other HRH properties, Gajner Palace, Gorbandh Palace and The Aodhi.
