Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission visits The City Palace Museum, Udaipur
Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission, Mr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, visited The City Palace Museum on the 15th December 2007 with his wife. Mr. Ahluwalia was revisiting the museum after twenty years and expressed his admiration for the restoration work that has been carried out during this time. He said that in his opinion a visit to the City Palace Museum provided a great opportunity for today's tourist to experience the richness of the history of Mewar and that importantly, the museum contributed to the legacy of India's rich and unique heritage.

The President of Singapore visits The City Palace Museum, Udaipur
His Excellency Mr. S. R. Nathan, President of Singapore visited The City Palace Museum, Udaipur on the 20th December 2007. Mr. Nathan was also revisiting Udaipur after a lapse of 25 years and expressed his delight at seeing so much wonderful restoration that has taken place over this period. Mr. Nathan met Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur at Shambhu Niwas Palace.
