Spread over 6000 acres, the Palace has a private wildlife sanctuary, which is home to endangered antelopes, Chinkara, black buck, neelgai and other animals. During winter months, the lake becomes home to more than a hundred species of migratory birds, including the Imperial Sand Grouse.
For those interested in shopping, Bikaner is famous for its intricate mina enamel work on gold. Situated at the edge of the desert, guests can also find goods made of camel hide.
