Miss Reshma Behari and Mr. Shumarlan Naidoo
The marriage took place between Reshma, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Behari and Shumarlan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Naidoo at the palace island of Jagmandir on 5th January 2008. A procession of guests preceded by bejeweled elephants and a band made their way from Arjun Khura Gate to Rameshwar Ghat where boats, garlanded with flowers, crossed to the palace island of Jagmandir. Cocktails were served at the Kunwarpada lawns followed by the wedding ceremony and dinner.

Merck India Pvt. Ltd held their yearly conference at Udaipur with delegates arriving on the 7th January 2008. Meetings were held over five days at The Durbar Hall, Fateh Prakash Palace.
As the first Merck Group subsidiary company in Asia, Merck India Pvt was set up in 1967. The global pharmaceutical and chemical company now has 198 companies in 61 countries. Its activities range from research and development, production sales and marketing as well as now providing an extensive range of services increasing access to medicines through far-reaching programmes across the globe.
During their stay in Udaipur, participants experienced Mewar hospitality and enjoyed traditional local cuisine at the Baithak and Cheetal Restaurant, at HRH Group of hotels's royal retreat Shikarbardi. Formerly a hunting lodge of the royal family of Mewar, Shikarbardi is located at the foothills of the ancient and historic Aravalli mountain range.
Delegates also enjoyed lunch at the Sunset Terrace, Fateh Prakash Palace, cocktails and dinner at the Pool Deck, Shiv Niwas Place and watched a performance of the Legacy of Honour, The Mewar sound and light show.
